Keeping your whole home comfortably warm

Carrier Furnaces Keeping your whole home comfortably warmCarrier high efficient natural gas  furnaces start from a small 40,000 BTU appliance and range to 140,000 BTU. Each appliance is sized according to each specific space pending on square footage and heat load requirement. Carrier furnaces come with either a alternate current or direct current blower motor. Pending on ones requirement, one can upgrade to a direct current blower motor complete with the variable speed capability .A nice quiet and efficient appliance.

The gas valves in the appliances range from a single stage,  two stage, to a fully modulating valve. Efficiency of the appliances begins at 91% to 98.5%.

Furnaces are traditionally used for home use, however in a shop or a garage is quite commonly seen.

Air Conditioning
Keeping your whole home comfortably cool

Carrier Air Conditioners Keeping your whole home comfortably cool

Central air conditioning is commonly installed in attached and detached homes. Traditionally a condensing unit is placed outside the home in the desired location. A evaporator coil is positioned directly above the furnace or fan coil unit. A copper line set is connected between both components. A two pole 208/230 volt breaker in panel with high voltage electricity to outdoor unit. A low voltage wire from thermostat to furnace to outdoor unit brings it all together.

Air conditioning units are sized according to the specific home requirements. Typically above grade square footage at 500 to 600 square feet per ton of cooling. One ton of cooling is 12,000 BTU’s. Furnace blower requirement is 400 CFM per ton.

Efficiency of a system is rated according to the seer level. Seasonal energy efficiency rating. The entry / base level is 13 seer going as high as 21 seer. Comfort, performance and infinity systems available in the Carrier product line.

Fancoil Units

Offer complete heating and cooling comfort

A home equipped with a boiler or hot water heating system can utilize a optional package unit that contains a blower fan, heating coil and a cooling coil. They can be equipped with a a/c or d/c current blower motor. A zone off the home boiler system would be required to provide the hot water heat for the forced air system. The fan coil unit can be positioned in multiple positions let alone hung from the ceiling for additional floor space.

Ductless Air Conditioning Systems
Keeping a specific area in your home at a desired temperature

Carrierductless

These systems contain a package evaporator coil that is mounted on a wall inside the space requiring the cooling. No sheet metal ducting is required for the instillation / operation of the system. A small rectangular condensing unit is positioned inside or outside to reject the heat. A copper line set is connected to the two components along with a control wire. High voltage power supply to the condensing unit completes the package.

Applications for these kind of systems are endless. From a bed room or a family room in a home or condo, a board room / meeting room, a laboratory or classroom, to a computer server room in a downtown high rise building. If the unit is positioned outside and serving a environment that requires cooling all year round, a low ambient kit can be added to the outdoor condensing unit which would allow this to happen.

Systems can contain one or more evaporator heads, which would allow one to have multiple zones running off of one condensing unit. Each evaporator head comes with its own hand held remote control for easy operation.

Infrared Tube Heaters

Garage Infrared Tube HeatersThis style of shop heating is commonly used in buildings and garages. They are typically quieter and require less maintenance as compared to a forced air style heater. They radiate the heat down towards the floor warming not only the air but the objects round. The objects retain the heat and stay warmer longer when cold air is allowed in. Where dust is present, this style of heater is preferred. Examples of this are carpentry shops, granite cutting shops, horse riding arena’s  etc… they have a sealed burner head in which one can pipe the intake air directly from the exterior of the building.

Infrasave and Calcana are popular styles seen throughout the city. They start at 40,000 BTU and larger. A 10’ length in smaller structures to a 70’ or 80’ run with a 90 degree bend following a perimeter of a building. These style of units are commonly chosen for different applications. Restaurants commonly use these above outside tables to keep patrons / customers warm in the lower ambient temperature conditions.

Shop Unit Heaters

Garage Unit Heaters

Forced air unit heaters are commonly used for heating anything from a garage, utility shop, automotive shop, furniture showroom, etc… They range in size from a smell 30,000 BTU and up. Typically they are hung from the ceiling and vented either side wall or straight up through the roof. They are low profile and take up a minimal space in the structure. Typical maintenance is low, with simply keeping them clean by blowing out all parts and pieces via compressed air pending on the environment they are installed in.
